About Us

We’re the Ehlert’s – Karen, Ted, and Dagny – and we’re so happy you chose to stay at one of our rentals. These properties are places we still call home depending on the time of year, so this is more than just a business to us, but a way to keep moving and traveling and seeing all that the world has to offer. We actually met while traveling in a rented Russian Van across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia, and haven’t stop exploring since! As a retired U.S. Marine, it seems Ted just can’t give up the nomadic life that came with frequent deployments, while Karen, a Pediatric Physical Therapist, needs the excitement of a life in motion and thrill of new adventures. And Dagny seems to have inherited it from us as she absolutely loves mountain trips to Colorado, beach visits to Erie, and every place and adventure in between (like New York’s Central Park!).
